Celebrating Ruepoint: An Event to Remember

This September, Ruepoint’s team gathered in Pravets, Bulgaria for three days of connection, fun, and a look ahead at what’s next. As a fully remote company, moments like this matter. They give us the chance to step away from our screens, meet colleagues in person, and build the kind of shared energy that shapes our culture.

We brought together around 60 people at the Hyatt Regency Pravets, a resort surrounded by lake views and green landscape. There was plenty of time to relax in the spa, explore the area, share meals, and simply enjoy being together. We also had a morning yoga session by the lake – a refreshing start that set the tone for the days ahead.

Celebrating 8 Years of Ruepoint

The gathering was held under a simple but meaningful slogan: Celebrating Ruepoint. After eight years of growth and milestones, it was time to mark what we’ve built together before stepping into our next chapter in joining the Muck Rack family.

We shared a belated birthday cake, because eight years deserve a slice together. We also exchanged thoughtful gifts, including a special delivery from our Muck Rack colleagues, a gesture that underlined how excited we are to take the next steps together.

The scavenger hunt: creativity, teamwork, and plenty of laughs

One of the highlights of the programme was a scavenger hunt designed to spark creativity and teamwork. Teams were sent off to complete a series of unusual, often hilarious challenges across the resort.

Some tasks pushed people outside their comfort zones, like singing a song to the black swans that live near the lake. Others tested their ingenuity, such as building a lighthouse out of Lego bricks, a fitting nod to Ruepoint’s name and spirit. The photos and videos captured along the way showed just how much heart, imagination, and humour everyone brought to the challenge. The challenges were made even more meaningful by the prize for the winners – a 1000€ donation to a charity of the winning team’s choice.

In the end, the winning team, calling themselves The Pointers, chose to direct their prize toward a cause close to Ruepoint’s values. Big ups to the captain Dimitar Narashanov, Natalia Vladimirova, Teofana Ivanova and Aleksandar Aleksovski. They selected SOS Children’s Villages as the charity to receive a donation on behalf of the company. As their thank-you letter reminded us:

“Your support will give children who do not have, or cannot be with their parents, the chance of a carefree childhood. Your donation enables us to reach even more vulnerable children and provide the care, love and support they need. Thank you for making this possible!”

It was a moment that added purpose to the fun and gave the competition a lasting impact.

An evening of reflection and celebration

The highlight evening ceremony and party brought everyone together again, hosted by Ruepoint’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Iskren Lilov. True to form, Iskren kept spirits high with his signature humour and inside jokes.

We heard an emotional video message from our Co-Founder and COO Raina Lazarova, who shared her words of encouragement from afar, followed by speaches from Ruepoint’s leadership team – Kevin Fagan, David Wynne, and Tony Prime, as well as warm words from our Muck Rack colleagues, whose presence made the occasion even more meaningful.

After the formal moments, Iskren kept the energy going with some team games to warm us up for the party. We kicked off with a grand rock–paper–scissors championship, ultimately won by Stefan Topuzov. Then came a team drawing competition, where each group had to create a picture using just one marker suspended on ropes, held by every team member.

The results were as fun as they were unpredictable. Some teams even worked Oli, the Muck Rack mascot, into their creations, while the Insight team cleverly drew “Insights” itself, tying the challenge back to their day-to-day work. The mix of creativity, improvisation, and good-natured explanations made the competition one of the night’s highlights.

From there, the dance floor took over. After a day full of activities and reflection, it was time to simply celebrate together and enjoy the moment.

Looking ahead

By the final morning, as colleagues shared breakfast and began their journeys home, what lingered was more than just memories of a beautiful setting or a lively program. We left with a renewed sense of connection, gratitude for the past eight years, and excitement for the future we’re building with Muck Rack.

At Ruepoint, our strength has always been our people, their creativity, empathy, and commitment. Our time in Pravets reminded us of that, and it reminded us why celebrating together matters.
