Ruepoint’s Memorable Christmas Party in Sofia

Have you seen Irish dancing light up a winter night? Or witnessed colleagues turn into Dragons and Princesses? Bet you haven’t experienced a Christmas party quite like Ruepoint’s.

Last weekend marked a truly special occasion for our team. We gathered for a Christmas celebration in Sofia, Bulgaria. The night was not only a festive delight but also a rare opportunity for our international team, spread across different corners of Europe, to come together and celebrate in person. The winter evening,
seemingly orchestrated just for us, welcomed heavy snowfall, setting the perfect scene for our festivities. Join us as we recount the joyous moments from this special weekend gathering.

Festive cheers

Our lovely host, Iskren Lilov, our Marketing Manager, kicked off the celebrations with enthusiasm, and a sense of humor. Welcoming speeches from our esteemed guests, CEO Kevin Fagan and CTO Dave Wynne, further heightened the festive atmosphere. Despite the physical distance, our COO Raina Lazarova virtually joined us, expressing gratitude to the team and joy at the growth of the company. The Ruepoint family has significantly expanded, reaching across various European countries, and these moments of togetherness are genuinely treasured.

Let’s play

Laughter echoed through the venue as Esma Riza took the stage, leading us through entertaining team-building activities. The silliness of it all was worth every moment, creating memories that will undoubtedly last a lifetime. The night also witnessed the celebration of team members’ promotions, including titles such as Miloslava Savova, honored as the High Five Champion, Polina Yordanova proudly named Ruepoint’s Chief Dragon, Bozhana Yoncheva acclaimed as Ruepoint’s Chief Princess, Filip Alexovski distinguished as Ruepoint’s Chief Samurai, and Konstantina Yoncheva celebrated as Ruepoint’s Top Cheerleader.

Bulgarian folk dances magic

A highlight of the evening was the mesmerising performance by the dance group “Sredets,” showcasing traditional Bulgarian dances. Our CEO, Kevin Fagan, even received a special “rachenica” dance lesson and effortlessly joined the dance. The team later united for a spirited rendition of the traditional “pravo horo.” To cap off the dance spectacle, we were treated to a taste of Bulgarian culture with traditional banitsa — akin to their version of fortune cookies, a charming tradition during the Christmas holidays.

Kings of the dancefloor

The night continued with everyone hitting the dance floor, ensuring that the festive spirit lingered throughout. As they say, what happens on the dance floor stays on the dance floor, so there is nothing more to say but to extend our warmest wishes for the holiday season. May the spirit of togetherness and celebration carry us into a bright and prosperous new year.

Happy Holidays from the Ruepoint Team!
